The Porter

An Atlanta staple since 2008, known for our vast selection of craft beer and great food, we’ve recently added even more drafts to our list, increasing the total to 60. Chef and the team in the kitchen can be relied upon for the old favorites—salt & vinegar popcorn, goat cheese fritters, and the famous pretzel—on top of a constantly evolving seasonal menu. We aim to have the best-in-class draft list, constantly tapping beers from brewers near and far that we are most excited about! If you’re not a craft beer enthusiast, don’t worry—we have curated cocktail and wine lists, ciders, meads, and a variety of non-alcoholic offerings. For those looking for cellar-aged beer, you’ve come to the right place: choose from a list of over 800 different bottles cared for and stored in our Beer Cellar (a beautiful room that also happens to double as a private event space available to book!)

History

Established in 2008.

In April of 2022, Manuel Maloof and Chef E.J. Hodgkinson bought the Porter, wanting to preserve this beloved Atlanta staple. After a long-awaited hiatus, The Porter opened its doors again in May of 2024. The Porter opened in September of 2008, but was a dream of Molly and Nick’s for a long time before that!
