Established in 1890.

One chilly day in December 1890, nineteen women met in Boston’s Back Bay. Their mission? To form a club where college-educated women could “enjoy sociability and companionship” while advancing their knowledge of literature, public affairs, history and the arts. But today, the the College Club is not only a private membership organization with more than a century of history. It is also a bed-and-breakfast (continental), in the heart of central Boston – open to both members and non-members – as well as an elegant space for weddings, business meetings, and a wide variety of other events.
