The Beekman, A Thompson Hotel

Nestled in the epicenter of Lower Manhattan’s vibrant new downtown lays New York’s last hidden architectural treasure, The Beekman. Built in 1881 as one of Manhattan’s first skyscrapers, the heart of this iconic landmark building is its extraordinary nine-story Victorian atrium and majestic pyramidal skylight. Under the stewardship of Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, the property was restored to its past glory and converted into The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel. Opened in September 2016, The Beekman unites some of the world’s greatest talent, combining the sophisticated interior design of Martin Brudnizki with the culinary cachet of restaurateur and Chef Tom Colicchio and restaurateur Keith McNally.
