St John Arena is a great historic venue filled with tradition and memories. Probably have been there 100 times over the years and always have had a good experience. While some people would rather have a new place with all the boxes and ameniities, I have been very happy with the upgrades they have made over the years.
With the Schott being built almost twenty years ago, I think people forget what a great place this was and is. Instead of the ever widening bowl of value city that puts you further away from the floor the higher you go, St John is a stacked arena that adds layers and keeps you close. With its design, I think the accoustics are much, much better. At the Schott 10,000 fans often sound like 5,000; at St John 10,000 feels like 20,000.
