We are Las Vegas’ Sailing Club! We operate out of the The Lake Mead Marina and run races, sail training programs and fun social events for sailing enthusiasts of all levels. We are members of the Southern California Yacht Association.
Established in 1963.
The Nevada Yacht Club (NYC) was formed in 1963 with its foremost purpose being the encouragement of sailing as a recreational activity and sport. The NYC promotes sailing, boating and seamanship through semi-annual sail training, and an active racing schedule. Most Nevada Yacht Club events are based out of the Lake Mead Marina as this is where most members keep their boats. Skipper’s meetings are usually held on the patio before races. NYC races are open to all (members enjoy discounted entry fees). We encourage anyone interested to come to a general meeting to meet the membership or show up to a skipper’s meeting to get in on the racing action. Walk-ons are always welcome!
