Back in 2000, The Fish & Bone got started selling natural food for cats and dogs. As the years went on, we expanded to carry everything our fellow pet lovers want and need: food, treats, clothes, toys, and that’s just the start. Our team is here to answer all your pet food questions, demystifying the products so you can get exactly what your furry friend needs to live a long, healthy life. You’ll find all the pet essentials for your pup or cat to have a well-designed life. On top of all that, our shop is set up so you and your pet have a good time while you’re here because shopping with your pup should always be fun!

Established in 2010.

Our first store was a chihuahua-sized space on the East End of Portland ME in 2000, originally called Fetch. Within a year or two, we moved to the Old Port to a much bigger (Great Dane?) spot, where we still are (now called The Fish & Bone Portland). In 2010, we opened this store, our Boston store, on Newbury Street. In 2012, we introduced free delivery, and brought all of our pet foods & treats to our web store so our delivery customers could order easily. Since our first day in April of 2000, we’ve focused on premium, and pragmatic, natural nutrition for dogs & cats, and on being a supportive partner to our community of animal welfare providers and pet parents. We love our brick & mortar opportunities to connect with our customers but we have found our web store to be a great place to stay in touch with our customers from all over the world.
